Speakmans work with Education Business Solutions

Caroline Conduit, PA at the Manchester office recently spent an afternoon at Holy Family RC School in Heywood conducting practice interviews with a selection of Year 10 pupils on behalf of Education Business Solutions.

Practice Interviews aim to motivate and raise students’ aspirations.  They are intended to enhance communication and interpersonal skills in the context of the world of work so that the students can begin to develop their interview techniques.

Commenting on the day Caroline remarked that she had been very impressed with the students she interviewed in that they were very well presented, polite and had prepared in advance for the interviews.

Feedback comments received from students included “I learned a lot about how to present myself and how to speak formally”, “I felt it went better than I anticipated, my interviewer was friendly and made me feel less nervous”.

The feedback from students has been very positive and it is clear that they gained a great deal from the activity especially around the areas of interview preparation, answering interview questions and overall interview performance.  This will undoubtedly be of great use to them as they enter their final year of school.
