October 2008 Investors in People Review

Speakmans Investors in People review on 3rd October 2008 saw the IIP assessor confirming Speakmans had maintained the Investor in People standard with key strengths being outlined as follows;

• The Business Planning process was robust with clear objectives and measurable key performance indicators identified.
• People felt that they were kept fully infomred of the company's performance with information being circulated on a regular basis through the newsletter and correspondance.
• Directors and managers were highly visible and were considered to be accessible and approachable.
• It was evident that there wsa a strong commitment from the Directors and Managers to the principles of Investors in People and to ensuring that all staff were trained to carry out their job roles efficiently and safely.
• Team work within each location was strong.
• People demonstrated a lot of pride in their work and clearly understood the standards expected in order to meet customers' expectations.
• The company had engendered a "family" feel for such a large organisation, whilst maintaining a professional approach to quality issues, helth and safety, marketing and management information.
